日本が韓国を併合した事情を考えるとき、韓国が破産状態に近い財政危機に
あったという事実を押さえておく必要があります。その証拠に、併合翌年年(1911)
の歳入３５６５万円のうち韓国内からの税収は１３３０万円、すなわち３７％に
すぎませんでした。残りの６３％は日本からの支援金で賄われていたのです。
破産寸前の会社を吸収合併した、というのが韓国併合の実態であったのです。
その後状況は改善されましたが、昭和１４年でも日本からの補充金は予算の
２５％を占めていました。つまり「植民地支配の収奪」などというのは事実無根、
常識的にいえば、収奪されたのは日本人だった、という結論になるわけです。

朝鮮統治の実態を明らかにしております。

Japan’ Annexation of Korea：It Was the Japanese Who Were Forcibly Deprived
Following Mr. Ko Bunyu’s essay on the annexation of Korea, we will present
Mr. Matsuki’s essay which dispels the myth that Korea was grievously harmed
during the period of Japanese Korean annexation. Rather Mr. Matsuki points out
that Japan went out of her way to treat Korean culture with respect and
encouraged its revival during the annexation period.
The essay provides abundant primary source materials, which will
convince any fair-minded person, without prejudice or preconceptions, that
Japan had no ill-intentions in the Korean Peninsula. Rather one will recognize
how great the Japan’s contributions were to the modernization of Korea.
